If confusion breeds chaos, what does organization breed? SUCCESS! That's right. There is always a decent order and way to run things. Order is used to keep us on our toes, and prioritize out tasks.
Getting organized can mean many different things in the Sales Industry. To become highly organized we have to have great planning and prioritizing skills.
Some tips in getting organized are:
Rise to the occasion- You may need to get up, just an hour earlier to get a jump start for your day.
Assign a time each day to plan and schedule daily activities. What works best for me here is the last hour of my day. I go back over what I have done that day, tidy up any loose ends, and then do my "things to do" list for the next day.
Also take the time to plan daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks.
Surround yourself with success- Ask others, maybe even mentors who are already successful in the field that you are in, for some pointers about success.
Set realistic deadlines; so that you control your project, don't allow your projects to control you.
Research & Read- Stay up to date. You can never stop learning; especially in our ever-changing world.
Re-evaluate your planned time. Did you accomplish everything in a timely manner? Do you need to allot more time for certain tasks?
Getting organized is a major key to success in Sales. At first it may seem like it is a bunch of extra work, but as you perfect your strategy you will see that it is an absolute needed tool in your everyday activities and reduces your workload dramatically.
