People looking for a second home, a holiday home, an investment opportunity or a restful place for retirement should seriously consider property for sale in the bodrum area ofTurkey. Bodrum is situated on the Aegean Coast of Turkey. It has fabulous weather and is blessed with friendly people whilst maintaining all of its un-spoilt charm and beautiful scenery. It is situated only 5 miles from the historic Greek islands of Kos and Rhodes. Turkey is becoming increasingly popular with Europeans, particularly from the UK and its interest increases more so, as its move to join the EU approaches.

The growth in the Turkish Property market is expected to follow that of Spain from the 1970's and therefore should enjoy further increases in property prices on a long term basis.

Currently property in Turkey is obtainable at bargain prices, but the increase seen since 2004 has risen in excess of 25%. Now that more and more Airlines are offering deals for traveling to Turkey and the flight is only 4 hours, more people are grasping the opportunity to own a property where the cost of living is low, the people friendly, the scenery breath-taking and where the climate is fabulous.

The most popular major hot spots are on the coasts where the market has performed very well and it is expected to continue to do so. There has also been a record increase in the numbers of tourists visiting Turkey for short and long term rental, which is a further opportunity for the investor to reap their rewards from renting the property out.
