RX-8 in U.S.A
RX-8 is a popular Japanese car import by Mazda Motor Corporation. The car first began to sell in the United States in 2001. It succeeded another Japanese car import, the RX-7.

The RX-8 has gained pop cult status as a Japanese car import. It has even been featured in many movies and videos, most notably in the movie Need for Speed: Tokyo Drift where the character Neela drives a turbocharged RX-8. Many used car auction have RX-8 offerings, especially in online Japanese auction sites for Japanese used cars.

Mazda RX-8 Design
One of the signature design cues of the RX-8 which makes it so famous among enthusiasts is the rear-hinged 'freestyle' doors. This 'freestyle' layout gives the RX-8 a 'suicide' door appeal and, functionally makes the rear seats a lot easier to get in to.

Power of Rotary
Rotary engine was first invented in 1957 by a German Engineer named Felix Wankel. He believed in 4 strokes as to be achieved while rotating. Initially there was no success in the automobiles and it disappeared from the vehicle manufacturers engineering labs until Mr. Masuda Tsuneji identified the potential and worked with NSU in the research and development of rotary engine.
The RX-8 is also a powerful car. It uses a naturally aspirated, 1.3L Renesis rotary engine which can develop a maximum of 246 hp at 8,500 rpm with the sustained redline pegged at 8,500 rpm and a peak redline at 9,000 rpm. The engine performed well enough to win the International Engine of the Year and Best New Engine awards in 2003.

Mazda RX-8 in the Market
The RX-8 is a great car option for buyers, as seen in many online Japanese auction. The RX-8 is a finely tuned performance car, able to achieve a near 50:50 eight distribution through a number of engineering feats used in the car.

The RX-8 is readily available in Mazda showrooms and other car dealers. However, there is also a number of used car dealers who have a number of Japanese used car offers in their stock. ,Japanese used cars, if properly treated, can still be very serviceable. It is advisable to deal with reputable used car dealers when you buy Japanese used cars, however. Also, it is important to consider the warranty you get as used car warranty offerings vary depending on the used car dealer.
