This article is to express my deepest feeling and give my reasons for choosing to buy many, if not all of my gadgets, gifts and tools on eBay and not on any other online store or highstreet retailer.
Since eBay was established it has grown, grown and grown. It has infact grown so big that over 15% of all online purchases are made on ebay. This rapid expansion has not only made the founders rich but the sellers who contribute to the eBay community. As a result of these successes - people are now turning to eBay both for financial gain and for self goods.
My first Great Reason to buy on eBay is that - eBay is not an online store, it is instead a community of traders. Buyers benefit from Seller's services and Seller's benefit from Buyer's purchases. It is a marketplace where conversations are held, offers are made and currencies are exchanged.
It supplements the spirit of good tradership, being able to negotiate prices in certain cases and also verify concerns. You dont log unto ebay and see a list of things to buy. You log unto ebay and search for what you want to buy.
In one case I wanted to buy a HDTV from a store all the way in China. Now because eBay is not an online store but instead a community of traders. I was able to instantly send a message to this gentleman asking to confirm certain conceptions and I had of the TV... within moments I was given a reply confirming my requests, you see... on eBay, sellers are passionate about selling and buyers are passionate about getting that bargain or winning that auction, and it is because of this determination and passion in this massive community that eBay is one step ahead of all other online stores and retail stores alike.
