2. Not asking questions: Recruitment managers agree that not asking questions is the most unforgivable behavior exhibited in job interviews. Asking thoughtful and intelligent questions will demonstrate to interviewers that you are an insightful person with initiative and real enthusiasm for the company. Conversely, having no questions prepared sends the message that you lack initiative or ideas, and the interviewer may question whether you have a genuine desire to work for the company.

3. Criticizing your previous employer: Always answer any interview question in a positive way. Avoid criticizing your previous job, employer or manager. Criticizing a former employer during a job interview indicates a serious attitude problem. It also sends a message that you will be criticizing the employer you are applying to work with at some point in the future.


4. Not making eye contact: Not many people realize how important eye contact is. Body language is a very important part of any communication, and will be analyzed by the interviewer. Without any eye contact, the interviewer will feel remote from you and is unlikely to relate you, or what you are saying in any meaningful way regardless of how well you’ve answered the question.

5. Not properly answering the question you’re asked: Not listening to the questions being asked or simply giving a rambling answer that that doesn’t actually address the question is down to a failure to anticipate the questions you might be asked.
