To put it simply, it's the most exciting thing to happen to television since the introduction of colour broadcasting.
It's like having a mist cleared away from your eyes so you can see clearly again. All the details like a sportsman with his beads of sweat, the blades of grass on a football field or the heavy make up of a TV presenter are all brought into sharp relief by hi-def. Everything and more you want to see are crystal clear when viewing in hi-def.
Try this, go to a window in your room and look outside. What you are seeing is called reality and that is exactly what it is like watching TV in high definition. It really is that good!
The trouble is though that high definition broadcasting isn't yet established as the only way to broadcast by the broadcaster's so you really won't want to go back to standard definition viewing when you have to.
Hi-def isn't only about the picture though. Firstly there's the awesome sound. When viewing in hi-def you also get the sound pumped out in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Then there's gaming, with the advent of the Playstation 3 and Xbox, the games are being produced in HD for even more detail. Then there's movies. With the introduction of Blu-Ray you can now watch a movie exactly as the director intended. Then lastly there's bigger images. With the LCD screens and Plasma screens of today you can go large! With your living room being turned into the local cinema.
Put all these facts together and I think you'll agree Hi-Def is the start of TV to come. It's just a question of when will you get involved?
Perhap's you're new to the world of Hi-Def or just want to expand your knowledge or even just curious. If you are any of these then visit http://radioloud.blogspot.com/ and find what you're looking for in the world of Hi-Def.
