I hear and read that advertisers say that e-zine ads don't work.
That some of them think that their expectations were way too high
or maybe that their ad is not written well enough.
I am here to tell you that this type of advertising really does work.
Here are a few secrets that will help you drive a lot traffic to your
website.
First lets talk about the type of e-zine ads.
-Standard Ads
Standard ads are the least effective ads available. These are ads
put in a special section. The classifieds are not very effective and
should be avoided. Standard ads should be avoided.
-Sponsor Ads
These ads are the ones you want to run because they are very
responsive. These ads should be uses instead of standard ads.
-Editor Recommendations
I found this to be the best technique. You can work out a deal with
the e-zine publisher, just let that person know your intentions. In
exchange for their endorsement you can do the same them.
Just write the E-zine publisher and tell them what you have in mind.
They will be glad to do this for you. After all this is a way to make them
look good also.
You can also do a joint ventures with them. The owner and you can swap
ads in your welcome message. (You do have a welcome message don't you)
Just put a few lines like this below.

Let them tell you about great marketing and promotion tips. Just sign up here

Most people will sign up just because they are in a sign up frame of mind.
After all this is good for you and the publisher.
Note- If you are a e-zine owner yourself, remember that placing ads in your ezine
is just a fast way to make money. Remember to send your subscribers useful advertisements
that they can benefit from. Don't offer sugar cookies to diabetes, not a good mixture.
As we know nobody likes misplaced ads. This just upsets your subscribers causing them
to cancel their subscriptions. This will also waste your sponsors money when they advertise
with you.
Making money should never be primary focus supplying quality content. The money will come
with growth due to your quality.
As a e-zine publisher your main focus is to keep the advertiser/sponsors happy. They are the ones that support your publication.
Keep this in mind when placing yours ads.
