Most people are aware of the physical benefits of exercise. But there are also psychological benefits to using a treadmill. There have been numerous scientific studies that have demonstrated the effects of exercise on the mind. And these benefits can be enjoyed by all of us.

People who are fit, tend to be happier. This could be for a number of reasons. It has been demonstrated that exercise reduces anxiety levels and can also reduce depression. People who exercise also have a more positive self-image. This can lead to them being generally happier.

There have also been numerous studies, which have demonstrated that exercise such as running on a treadmill is an ideal stress buster. Many of us work in jobs that are sedentary. His could be working on a computer, in a call center or in an office. These types of occupation do not give us your opportunity to work off the stress that builds up during the day. Running on a treadmill is an ideal way to let off steam.


Many people that exercise on a regular basis say that they enjoy the space that it gives them. They use it as a way to clear their heads and make a physical break between work and relaxation time in the evening.

One of the benefits of exercise, is that it allows you to set goals and to achieve them. This can give you a great sense of achievement. For people that want to improve their body shape or lose weight, this effect can be even greater. This alone can have a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves.

There is now overwhelming evidence to support the psychological benefits of using a treadmill. If you wish to improve your mind as well as your body, you should seriously consider using one.
