Carin Lau- Longines Ambassador from China

Shuzhou and Hangzhou has always been famous beauty cities since ancient time. Carlin Lau, the evergreen and ever-charming star in Chinese movies circle, is the best example. Carin Lau, born in Suzhou, moved to Hongkong with her family when she was thirteen years old and studied in Su-Zhe Public School. In 1983, she attended the actors training class held by Hongkong TVB and later became a TVB actress and acted in several TV series. Three years later, she acted in movie Naughty Boy and had an excellent performance. In 90s last century, Carin Liu impressed everyone through her sexy yet charming image in many movies like Days of Being Wild, The Romantic Holidays and Flower of Shanghai.

Carlin Lau, extraordinary elegant, gained highly appreciation from Longines. In 2002, she formally became Longines Ambassador of Elegance. The general factory of Longines thought that Carlin Lau, as a Queen of Chinese movie circle, not only enjoyed very high international popularity but also had similar temperament with the late star Audrey Hepburn, Longines Ambassador at that time. Obviously, she could be the best choice as Longines’ spokeperson. However, Carin Lau said humbly that it was a great honor being put on a par with her idol Audrey Hepburn.

Carlin Lau worn the Cheongsam designed by Sunping Zhang and evening dresses from Versacve, Jil Sander and Anteprima to enhance her graceful image when made the first billboard for Longines. The international photographer Dieter Eikelpoth joined this great cooperation. The photo in which Carin Lau wears white dress of inclined shoulder style and takes a reclined posture with one hand at her hip impressed Chinese people most. Longines spirit, elegance is an attitude, thus become rooted in people’s mind in China.
