The year 2008 has witnessed many new cars rushing in the Indian car market. Despite of the falling car sales and tight financial market, car manufacturers have rolled out a number of new cars to bring in a new excitement in the market. Having an optimistic approach, these manufacturers with their knowledge of designing and technological excellence have launched cars that have been successful in meeting the needs of car buyers.

Some of the best car launched in 2008 in India are as follows:

Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Mercedes-Benz C-Class is creatively designed flowing profile, beefy lines, slightly slanted crease, and new design philosophy. It looks much similar to the E-Class but yet exude a dramatic look with quad–ovoid headlights, revised taillights, prominent fender flares, and seven spoke alloy wheels. The C–Class is available in both petrol and diesel engines. The choice of petrol engines are 1.8–litre and 6.2-litre V8 engines whereas the diesel engine bears a 2.2–litre high–pressure Common Rail Diesel Injection (CRDi). Both the petrol and diesel engines deliver excellent power output and performance.
