The Qaranta concept its a clear proof that the designer has made a step forward into the future of automotive styling.
Until now we have very poor information about the new Giugiaro concept, with just a few hints on Giugiaro's site, along with a preview image. A full-on shot of the car leaked today, however, ruining the teasing aspect of Giugiaro's presentation. The photo reveals a model that looks much like the Quaranta concept, which is known to be powered by a hybrid power train. Judging by the teaser, it's decidedly more sleek than its predecessor, dropping the blocky '80s aesthetic of the Quaranta and packing a power train that will supposedly propel the gas-electric coupe to 186 mph. If the same 270 hp, 3.3-liter V6 hybrid employed on the Quaranta migrates to this new concept, expect an all-wheel-drive system with a duo of electric motors powering the front wheels and a claimed 0-60 time of around four seconds. If the new model will be available for customers the new Fisker Karma will have some serious competition to handle...
For the moment we do not know the name of the new Giugiaro concept but there are rumors that the "Frasier Nash" nameplate could be revived. We will come with more information from the live reveal at Geneva.
