Being one of the first TV-friendly venues in the nation, US Cellular Arena is Milwaukee's 12,700-seat home for sports, entertainment and assemblies since 1950. Home to the Milwaukee Bonecrushers of the Continental Indoor Football League, the arena is part of a larger downtown campus that includes the Milwaukee Theatre and Midwest Airlines Center. The US Cellular Arena opened in 1950 and had former names, such as, Milwaukee Arena from 1968 to 1974, MECCA Arena from 1974 to 1995, and Wisconsin Center Arena from 1995 to 2000. The facility had gained much fame as MECCA, being the home of champions and an audacious Pop Art basketball floor, and later, when it was renamed as US Cellular Arena in 2001, it continued on hosting the wide variety of top-notch events culturally rich, highly entertaining and visually stimulating to the surrounding population. It hosts 170-190 events per year which include concerts, family shows, conventions, corporate meetings, sporting events, rodeos, ice shows, circuses and high school events.


Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US Cellular is an indoor arena which seats 12,700 people and offers 41,000 feet of floor space. The arena is home to the Milwaukee Bonecrushers of the Continental Indoor Football League and it remains popular today as a favorite mid-sized concert venue among fans and performers alike. Many famed musical performers have performed here which include The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Eric Burdon, The Greatful Dead, Nirvana, Fall Out Boy, Bob Dylan, Green Day, Motley Crue and more! The arena can be rented for an assortment of functions.

The arena was renovated at a cost of 10.5 million dollar, and the renovation completed in 1998. These renovations include a new video scoreboard, totally-refurbished seats, and improved access for people with disabilities, wider concourses, improved concession stands, new floors and finishes, new catwalks, better lighting and improved HVAC - an all-around superior environment for both patron and show needs. In 2000, ice-making ability was restored and bold new outdoor lighting, signage and electronic messaging systems were added. A new, outdoor, public promenade alongside the building - the Wisconsin Athletic Walk of Fame was also constructed and a new basketball floor was acquired in late 2001.


The building is technologically up-to-date and equipped for the needs of television and other electronic media. It has ample light for television and is equipped to support high volume power requirements, satellite links, and telephone and data transmission lines and it has an extraordinarily strong ceiling that can support the heaviest shows on the road and is "ready to rig" any conceivable arrangement of lights, speakers, banners, props or other equipment. All the features add to the strengths and beauty of the US Cellular Arena, making it the best venue around loved by millions!
