This is a question I get asked all the time! MT's like you are wondering if it's worth spending time posting to a massage blog and whether it will actually bring them tangible results, in terms of numbers of clients.
The simple answer is "Yes", it will bring you clients, however, there's a few things you need to be aware of to actually make it work.
Target Market
Firstly, you have to know what your target market is looking for.
Without this, you can post to your massage blog all day and none of your potential clients will be interested enough to actually read it and call you because of your blog post.
Keywords
The huge machine that is Google offers us, the lowly small business, some amazingly powerful tools we can use, for free.
One of these is their keyword research tool. "What’s that?" I hear you say...
It is a powerful tool that tells you exactly what your target market is looking for and how many of them are looking for it each month.
It is a huge benefit if you’re wanting to post to a massage blog, because all you have to do is center each post around a specific keyword. Then when your target market starts looking for information using Google, hey presto, your massage blog appears in that long list.
You know your post will appeal to them, because it's what they’re looking for information on, and your massage blog sets you up to be seen as the expert on that topic. Which means, provided they can find your contact info on your massage blog, you are the obvious person for them to call for an appointment.
