There are many so called Forex Expert Advisors or robots that claim big gains but never show any independent results, but this system will beat them all, it has a real time track record and it's free. Let's look at the system, it's called the 4 Week Rule and it only uses one single input to generate trading signals and it's this:
Buy a new 4 week high and hold it, then sell a 4 week low to exit the long position and go short. Keep reversing the position on new 4 week highs and lows and always maintain an open position in the market.
It's a very simple system and it will work in any trending market. It's based on breakout methodology, which is a proven way to get you in on all the big trends and hold them for bigger profits. As long as markets trend, long term the system will continue to work.
It will lose money in sideways markets but you can smooth the equity curve. All you do is add an exit filter. An exit filter on a shorter time frame like a 1 or 2 week moving average can be used go flat and you then wait for the next 4 Week signal to re enter the market. Either way you use the system, it will work and using an exit rule simply helps to smooth the equity curve.
The system was thought up by Richard Donchian who is considered one of the true great traders and he left it for us all to use. Traders have been using this simple system to make big gains for nearly 30 years and you should consider using it too.
Most traders won't use it though, they will say it's too simple (despite the fact it works) and of course, it doesn't come with a catchy name and in a flashy box. Also the system takes tremendous discipline to follow and most traders simply cannot trade with discipline.
