For any internet marketer just starting out there are a wealth of decisions to make. The first one usually being, "shall I create a web page or a landing page?"

Web pages:
  • A web site is the belt & buckles of your business; a showcase for your products and services that, ultimately, invites your prospect to either sign up or not, buy or not. If they like what you have to offer; the quality and price look good compared to others; your products are in stock and the delivery is reasonable, they'll buy. If not, they won't. But you rarely have a chance to interact with them. To show them the value of buying from, or working with, YOU. It depends on your business, but if your business is marketing, then the biggest asset you have is yourself, and consider the option of a landing page.


Landing Pages:
  • A landing page is a website page that is created for one purpose - to persuade the site visitor to convert into a customer by making a sale, completing a form (thereby becoming a qualified lead), signing up for a newsletter, accepting a free offer, and generally able to be contacted via email autoresponders etc. This allows you to build up trust with the visitor by giving value and, in time, they may eventually become either a customer or a business partner. This trust is what will keep your prospect with you for many years, and needs to be earned.
