Why is it us moms run around from one thing to the next taking care of everyone else but always putting our needs last. This is so often the case with many mothers. We feel as though taking a little time out for ourselves is just not a possibility when so many other things need to get done.

What if I was to tell you that taking a little time for you is necessary for your family's happiness? Would you do it then?

Here are a few reasons why taking time out for mom is a necessity:

Stress = Burn out which leads to unhappiness – You have a huge responsibility and important role to play in your family. If you don't take a little time to recharge your batteries you will inevitably get to a point where you're feeling burned out and that will make you unhappy, which in turn may make the rest of your family unhappy.

Happy Mom = Happy Family – If you're happy everyone in your family will benefit. If you still think you don't have time for you, then imagine your kids all grown up and when they think about their childhood years and what their mom was like do you want them to remember a happy go lucky mom who always made them feel good or a mom who tried to juggle too many things and ended up stressed and unhappy.

Stress = Less Productivity – Stress doesn't really get you anywhere, in fact a lot of us waste time just worrying and being stressed and actually get less done. Take your time and plan your day including a few breaks here and there for you. You will find that by taking a little time off you'll come back to your tasks more refreshed and able to face them.

What About Your Spouse? A strong family unit always starts with happy parents who love each other. If you're constantly stressed and busy this may eventually affect your relationship with your spouse. If you feel your spouse isn't doing enough talk to him and ask for help. Tell him you need some time out just for you, chances are he wants to see you happy too and will do everything in his power to help.

Finally, take time out for you because you are important. You have a difficult and admirable job and deserve to have some time off just for you. It doesn't have to be anything fancy or cost a lot of money. Some time alone with a cup of coffee and a nice book or a walk in the park can make a big difference and you can slowly build up to more time.

If you still need convincing always remember the equation Happy Mom = Happy family.
