Make money online by writing reports, articles, sales letters... faster and better.
If you are interested in learning about a powerful tool that allows you to create, organize, visualize and communicate information at a glance. This is a pre-writing tool that allows can use words, colors, size, abbreviations, symbols and images to capture ideas, connect related ideas and convey volumes of information intuitively and efficiently; I talking about a technique that saves you precious preparation time and reduces the amount of rewriting required. It could cut your writing time by up to 50 per cent?
Mind mapping allows you to capture your information visually on a single sheet or screen yet allows you to easily convert it to a more traditional outline or document form. You can use notepaper, flipchart, whiteboard, computer or the sand on the beach (although it's difficult to email the later.)
Here's how you do it. First, relax. Now you're in the creative right hemisphere of your brain. Next, place the topic heading in the center of the page. Now, place the subtopics around the topic like spokes of a wheel. Then, place related details of each subtopic next to the appropriate subtopic. Finally, edit the map before you write your article or letter.
You can use any visual representation you wish on the map to convey information - images, symbols, words, etc.
A map can evolve over time or be used to allow team members to add ideas as they occur. Uses include brainstorming, problem solving, project planning, performance appraisals, to-do list, clarify a goal, outlining a major report or proposal, prepare for a complex phone call, study, prepare for confrontation, take notes or to generate group ideas.
A Copy writer must know exactly what he wants his reader to do, and anything that does not elicit that desired action is an absolute waste of time and money.
Forget everything you've been taught about writing. Write like you speak. Forget about the rules of grammar. One sentence paragraphs are great. Incomplete sentences are fine. Keep your sentances and paragraphs short. You want powerful headlines to grab a reader's attention and many sub-headlines to move him through your writing.
Focus on the reader and what he wants to achieve (or avoid). You need to make the reader feel like you know all about them and his problems.
Address the reader's wants not their needs. Write about what interests him.
In order to elicit the desired action from the prospect, all copy is written to attract the "attention" of your prospect, hold their interest, to increase their desire in your product or service and to initiate some type of specific action from the prospect. It's called the AIDA formula.
Never forget the basic rule of advertising copywriting: If the ad is not read, it won't stimulate any sale; if it is not seen, it cannot be read; fail to grab the readers' attention then what you write will be ignored!
