Bell&Ross has released two new instrument BR01 commando watches. One is BR01-96 Instrument Commando, the other one in BR01-97 instrument Commando. They are specially designed for the elite fighting commando forces. Both version are limited to 500 pieces.
They features a low-key grayish hue, sporting a cool sporty look that is neat, understated and comfortable. The case is 46mm, screw-down , water resistant to 100 meters and has equipped with anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The BR01-96 Instrument Commando is powered by ETA caliber 2896, an automatic movement offering hours, minutes seconds and dates. The BR01-97 instrument Commando houses ETA caliber 2897 which provides the same functions mentioned above but with an additional power reserve indicator. On the gray dial of both version, the numbers, indices and hands are coated with photo-luminescent black to offer optimal reading all the day round. The dial of 96 commando looks neat and clear, but I love that of 97 Commando better: the numeral 3 just warmly takes the date window into arms while the power reserve indicator eats a lit bit of the the numeral 6. In my eyes, such design adds something funny to this pieces.
These limited editions are completed by a gray rubber strap. A synthetic fabric strap is also available for choosing.
Though the whole piece adopts gray theme. The new instrument BR01 Commando watches look not dull at all as different gray colors are used on different part to achieve a vision of multi-layer.
