During this time the internal hair bond is unchanged and the hair cuticle goes on to be smoothed; it is during this time that the damage done to the hair is repaired. However it should be noted that the internal structure of the hair is not changed but the hair will appear stronger and more flexible as well as manageable after the treatment has been carried out.
The above is carried out by making sure the hair is thoroughly washed so that any product is taken out. This is done with a special salt-free clarifying shampoo. Your hair will then be blow dried and then sectioned, which is when the keratin product will be applied to each strand. This then goes even further as each of these sections goes on to be straightened up to five times using a flat iron with heat of up to 450 degrees, which is how the keratin is infused into the hair.
