What is a map? From the definition at Wikipedia, "A map is a simplified depiction of a space, a navigational aid which highlights relations between objects within that space." What is the relation of the map and succeeding internet MLM?
According to the definition, the map is a navigational aid, which represents information or guidance for us to reach point A to B. In terms of Internet MLM, the navigational aid for us to reach point A to B is all training materials that are available for us to use. Try to think about this, if you know you want to go from point A to B, isn't it easier to have a map with you? This metaphor applies to Internet MLM success as well. We have to have navigational aid, guidance or training material to help us to reach point B, which is our ultimate goal- FINANCIAL FREEDOM!
Use this metaphor to apply it into your journey to success in Internet MLM. If you are driving from New York to Los Angeles, will you be able to reach L.A without a map? Of course you will, but it might take a lot longer than expected. If you have a map with you, what is the difference? A map will help you to reach your destination faster, easier and less painful. You can still become very successful if you do not use any training material, but it will take more time, more money, more effort and more frustration.
In order to reach Los Angeles, we do not have to know the exact path that we are about to travel. In fact, what we really need is visibility of 150 to 200 feet ahead us. In order to do this, a map is the critical path to our success. By following it, bit by bit, step by step and we will eventually reach the final destination. Usually training material in any Internet MLM business is divided into small little sessions that allow us to follow up day by day. You can choose to finish them faster if you want to. The bottom line is to take is step by step so you do not get overwhelmed.
During this journey, I can be certain and let you know that it is not going to be a smooth ride all the journey. We are going to take some wrong turns, our vehicle might break down, tire might go flat and the motor run out of gas. This is absolutely 100% normal. This is the time where the map comes to be very beneficial because we can check how do we get back on course or even check if there is any gas station or machine shop to fix the vehicle. Once the vehicle is fixed or we come back to the right road, we are one step closer to our ultimate goal again.
At the same time, 95% of the people give up on their dream to become successful because of these road blocks that stop them. They do not have enough courage to carry forward and they do not have a strong belief that they deserve to become successful either. It is very sad to know that the success rate for Internet MLM is only 5%
Besides having a map, it is essential to know our location before we can reach the destination. Imagine that you have the best map in the world and you do not know where you are currently, do you think you can reach the destination? Again, the answer would be YES, but it will take hell a long time and hell of much effort and much more frustrations. Once you feel that you are lost, make sure that you know what your mistake is, correct it and carry forward. Internet MLM is all about duplication, if you can not duplicate the success from your upline, your upline will not become successful either.
My dear friend, let me tell you a secret, there is no FREE lunch or overnight success anywhere. Those 5% that success deserves everything that they have because they are capable to over come most if not all road blocks, obstacles during the journey.
A positive altitude causes a chain reaction of positive outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results!
