The Difference Between a Person with a Vision and a Visionary Person

Encarta Dictionary defines vision as the ability to anticipate possible future events and developments while visionary defines as produced by, resulting from, or originating in the imagination.
Dr. John Maxwell, my most favorite and admire author in leadership and self-improvement books, which writings powerfully touched the inner soul and changed my life into a better and a productive person, differentiated between a person with a vision and a visionary person.
A person with a vision talks little but does much.
A visionary person does little but talks much.
A person with a vision finds strength from inner convictions.
A visionary person finds strengths from outward condition.
A person with a vision continues when problems arise.
A visionary person quits when the road becomes difficult.
Many great people began life in the poorest and most humble of homes, with little education and no advantages.
Andres Bonifacio, a great Filipino Hero orphaned at the age of 10, educated himself by through private reading of the books borrowed from good friends and later on became a founder of the great Katipunan.
Blas Ople, my most admired man, worked as a janitor and afterwards became a Senate President of the Republic of the Philippines.
Napoleon Hill, a poor boy and a deficient in education had the ambition to be a writer but his good friends assured him his ambition was impossible but finally became a great writer and the author of the very famous inspirational classical book "Think and Grow Rich" that until now, it is one of the best seller in the Philippines.
Hellen Keller was deprived of sight, hearing, and the ability to speak before the age of two and later on became the author of several articles, books, and biographies.
What gave these great individuals the stamina to overcome severe setbacks and become successful? Dr. John Maxwell gave good explanation regarding of this query. According to Dr. Maxwell "Each person had an inner dream that lit a fire which could be extinguished. Great visions begin as inside job."
Dr. Booker Washington once says, "I have found that success is measured not so much by the position attained in life as by the obstacles which have been overcome in attaining that position."
The American great President Nixon adds, "Only when you have been in the deepest valley would you appreciate the magnificence of the greatest mountain. It's when you are down that your greatness will be shown appear, and tested. You need all the knocks for your greatness to appear."
Hellen Keller added, "Character cannot be developed in ease and quite. Only through experiences of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthen, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved."
Billi Lim emphasize, "Remember, in order to have the rainbow you must have the rain. There is no way. Hard times should make you better and not bitter."
Philip Adams points out, "It seems to me that people have vast potential. Most people can do extraordinary thing if they have confidence to take risks. Yet most people don't. They sit in front of the telly and treat life as if it goes on forever."
The great Goethe encouraged you readers, "Whatever you can do or dream you can begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it." And Finally, Napoleon Hill reminds you that "Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements."
Before I conclude my message, I would like to encourage you to read and think of this carefully:
If you have a dreams
Hold on to your dreams
If your dreams die
You're like a wounded bird without a wing!
People…You Can if You Think You Can! I challenge you; Do your best and God will do the Rest!
