Ireland is one of the most popular countries to spring into people's minds when they're thinking of somewhere to get to for a weekend break. For those who live in the UK, it's conveniently close by and for those further afield, Ireland's reputation precedes it by far as a wonderful country to visit - and why not start your exploration of this country with a weekend break?

From bustling Dublin to the quiet roads of the rolling countryside, Ireland has something to suit everybody. Perhaps you're looking for the perfect city to host a stag party in - meaning you'll be pleased to know that Dublin lends itself to the party town title with ease. From quiet pubs to the Temple Bar area and trips to the Guinness factory, you'll be able to ensure that your stag do - or any sort of party - is one to remember with bars, pubs and clubs bursting at the seams with happy revellers. And with myriad cheap hostels and hotels, even the cost factor shouldn't be too much of a problem, meaning you can save your pennies to spend on having a good time.

Not everybody is hoping to paint the town red on a weekend break, however, which is where Ireland's quieter locales come in. Why not rent a car and explore the countryside, staying in bed and breakfasts that will offer you a comfortable night's rest complete with delicious, traditional food to start you off the following day. Ireland is famous for its excellent hospitality and you'd be forgiven for making the most of it during your weekend break.

By renting a car, you'll be able to see Ireland at its greatest. Not only is it the ideal way to travel in this beautiful country whilst making sure you don't miss a single sight, but it's perfect for being able to stop wherever you like and take everything in at your leisure. That way, you can spend more time in cities, villages or the glorious countryside, depending on what you like best. Just make sure that wherever you decide to rest your feet, sampling some of the local beer should be your final stopping point for that night!

Don't forget to stay in touch with your friends and family whilst you're away - whether it's on a long weekend of relaxation or a mad and crazy party. With cheap calls to Ireland easily available, keeping in contact is easier than ever. So you can make your loved ones jealous completely guilt free!
