Naturopathic Medicine is founded on the principle that the body is capable healing itself, and that physical and mental harmony, mental and physical balance, and the environment must be healthy for the good health of the entire organism. Naturopathic Medicine is an art, a science, a philosophy, and a practice of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness. Naturopathic medical principles are basic to the objective of observations of health, of disease, and of healing. Naturopathic medical methods are consistent with these principles and are the basis of the viewpoint that each patient is an individual with individual needs. The naturopath's tools are diverse, traditional, experimental, scientific, and based on observation and experience.
