There are literally unlimited options of names for website, but what names will actually work for your particular site? Fortunately the Internet has been around for long enough to provide us with some pretty clear ideas as to what works the best when it comes to naming websites.

No, you don't have to waste the opportunity to attract many potential viewers by naming your website "Jane Doe's World" or just as effective "I Am Boring Blog".

Keep in mind - the Web is very large. It's world-wide and so when the search results show up on peoples' monitors, they have tons of websites to choose from.

Why will many of them click on the link to yours? After all - they have no idea what they will find on your website.

Before they get there they will usually see the name and the URL of your website and a short description.

There must be something in at least one of those three elements that will make them move the mouse over and push the button.

* Will your website name suggest you are an expert on the topic people are searching about?

* Does the name promise solutions to real problems?

* Does it make people smile or even laugh?

* Will it make people curious?

* Does your website name show you are smart, clever, intelligent?

* What other emotions does your website name make people feel? (yes, most choices humans make are based on either emotions or rational thinking backed with strong emotions.)

Your website name is what makes that first impression on your customers.

If you plan to make your websites places where people find what they are looking for or places that will help them make some choices - let the names for website reflect the high quality of your services.
