Though it is hard to find it can be made easy by following some search methods to search and find your files. Following are the tips to find files in the net,

• Getting Started
- When you type something and search for the file in the websites like p.kg and torrentpearl.com it returns the most appropriate result at the top of the page. By default it returns only the files with the exact file name provided in the search box. So initially you have to broaden your search by including or reducing terms. In this first step there is no need to accept AND or OR operator. Text matching techniques is used by the sites kg and torrentpearl.com and results are returned.

• Use NEAR operator instead of AND or OR

- This NEAR operator brings the closer files also as results. Example - type games NEAR events to match documents where the word games are within 50 words of the word events.
• Check for spelling

- When you are searching for a file if the result is null or no files are returned means check for any misspelling in the search.
• AND operator

- Use AND operator to combine 2 words and search. Example: Type cricket and sports to find files which has both the words cricket and sports in it.
• OR Operator

- Use OR operator to search either of the given words. Example: cricket or sports which returns files which has cricket or sports word in it.

• Brackets

- Use brackets when you are searching for a file. It helps in refining the search and allows you to use the operators. Example: (mumps or measles) and pregnancy. This will return results for effects of mumps or measles in pregnancy.

• Stemming

- Stemming character is ‘*’. It will return all the files starting with the given keyword. Example: if you search for cancer* it will return files with the name cancer, cancerous etc. There is also two ‘**’ used. This returns all forms of words. Example: if you type fly** it will return fly, flew, flown, and flying.
• AND NOT Operator
- Type surfing AND NOT the Internet to find all instances of surfing, as long as surfing is not followed by the phrase the Internet.
• Double quotes
- Use double quotes if you want to use AND or OR or NEAR Operator. Without the double quotes if you use AND or OR operator it will return only results with NEAR operator.
