The Jaguar is a cat but it is surely no kitten. It is a fierce one, not wanting to be left behind and always on the alert. It is more than a cheetah in speed and even greater than a lion. And as a brand, Jaguar is one that you surely could not miss.

One of the vehicles under the Jaguar brand is the XKR and this sports car has surely shown all other entrants in the luxury sports car field that no other one can beat it. Jaguar has created the Jaguar XKR as a vehicle that could stand out despite various environments. The vehicle has also been created to be swift and quick and has been designed to have a real good balance. And just like any cat, it is on the prowl and always alive. However, wild as the Jaguar XKR may be, the brand also made sure that this vehicle can also be as gentle and as compliant as any other domesticated cat.

According to Mark White, one of the senior body engineers at Jaguar, “When we started down this track there were some truths we knew we had to face. The goal was to create the ultimate sports GT and to do that we set the target of exceeding the XK by some 30 per cent in a whole range of performance criteria.” Of course, the brand had to create such an exemplary vehicle despite continuously creating and producing their other products like Jaguar XKE parts, , and, of course, Jaguar XKR parts.

White even further exclaims, “Torque… and how it was delivered… was the key to meeting our performance goals. I have to say the result has exceeded initial expectations.”

True enough. You see, what all other Jaguar engineers have focused on when they were in the process of designing and producing this vehicle was the Jaguar XKR’s performance. Try to take this vehicle for a ride and you can zoom from a complete zero to a speedy hundred kilometers per hour in just five seconds. But of course, such a kind of vehicle comes with a real high price, too. The convertible version can be purchased at $245,000.
