Life is great!! I enjoy having a great time whether that is on the back of my horse, working the garden, laughing with friends, or laughing at my kids, dogs, and cats. I can't imagine not enjoying life.

When a friend approached me a few days back and asked me how I felt, my answer was, "Great!!" She told me about this new product that was supposed to make me feel better. Hmmm. . . what can be better? Anyway, I decided to do some research just to see what it was all about.

Glutathione. . .WOW! what a word. And what a definition to live up to!! It seems every cell in your body is making this little molecule and be thankful too. If your cells stop making the molecule, you stop living!! Bummer!!!!

There's all kinds of talk out there about antioxidants and free-radicals. Well, it turns out, glutathione is the master antioxidant.

In case you don't know what an antioxidant is let me explain. There are chemical reactions going off inside of each cell in your body all the time. Free radicals are left overs after the reaction finishes. These are not good left overs. (Seems the body doesn't have a refrigerator system to serve them up later.) Anyway, these free radicals are bumping all over the place in the cell. They are kind of like loose sparks and burn holes in whatever they bump into. So, this glutathione molecule is like the fire extinguisher. It puts out the little sparks!

So, what's the big deal with these free-radical sparkers? As they are bumping around your cells they begin to increase and cause more and more problems which result in cellular death. Not good. You need those things. Surprise!! This results in aging.

It also results in less disease resistance. Your body can't fight off all those attacts that come at you every day. You are bombarded with all kinds of outside influences that you rely on your body cells to take care of. When those cells are defeated from the inside, then you have no defense left.

Okay, so this is sounding interesting. I already told you, I enjoy living. I am not ready to quit just yet. I don't feel bad, but maybe I could use a little improvement. I made a BIG decision. I went to the doctor. Now, that isn't something I do easily.

I decided that I would get my glutathione level checked. Then I would take a 60 day challenge. I would find out if this really works, or if it is a bunch of hog wash. Well, I am only on day four. That means I only have 56 more days to go.

Day one I took 3 pills (that's half the normal day's dose.) I didn't really feel anything, but I slept great. On day two I noticed I was sleepy all day long. That really isn't me. But I'm not giving up. Day three was even harder than day two. Now, I'm not feeling completely sure about all of this. I talked to my friend and she reminded me, "The body needs sleep to heal."

Hey, maybe I've got some of those free-radicals messing up some of my cells in here. You know, I'm in for the long haul. I am going to find out if this is worth the effort or not. I am finishing up day four and really feel pretty good. I haven't been sleepy most of the day (seems I'm getting that way now, but it is 11:00 p.m.). I'm on to day five to see what happens next. So far, so good.

I still enjoy life, and I still feel great! I am excited about what life has to offer and I plan to live it as long as God allows! If He offers a little pill to help boost my system, I am willing to give myself the boost. La-la-la-la Live Out Loud!!
