Planning out a sermon is easy. The first thing you need to do is find a passage of scripture, start your sermon with a personal anecdote and keep it concise. Now I’ll be giving you supplementary tips to aid you in conducting an interesting sermon.

Preparing a layout first on what you want to tackle will help you deliver your sermon smoothly. Start off with writing down the topics that you want to cover during the sermon itself. These topics can be placed in between your intro or your personal anecdote and the conclusion. From this list, you can now then write your detailed sermon. The list will keep your sermon well thought of.

The delivery of the sermon itself is quite important. It is important that you practice what you’ve written first before you actually deliver it. During the mock delivery you’ll discover some words that looked right at first but doesn’t sound quite right when you actually deliver it. There’s a strange characteristic of the written words – it sounds in two ways. It sounds one way when you read it silently, but can sound totally different when read out loud.

Lastly, learn your bible sermon by heart. A preacher who keeps his face buried in the text will bore the congregation. They want to feel your words and your sincerity. They want to feel you as if you’re speaking to each and every one of them. If this is not possible, at least, be ready and read your notes ahead and look-up as often as possible. The success of your sermon will depend entirely on how well you’ve delivered it and that the congregation understood what you were trying to convey.

With these steps, I’m sure you’ll be able to deliver your best bible sermon ever. To wrap it up, in delivering a good sermon it is always best to prepare a layout, practice your sermon and lastly, make the congregation feel your sermon.
