Guilt leads to all types of mind games. Have you been honestly startled at some of the thoughts running through your intelligence in occasions of intense regret? We'll take a fast look at some results of this threatening "game." First, guilt has the capability to shake our ideology'. We may wonder at our unlucky behavior and think, there is no way I am able to truly be forgiven - God can't still love me after I acted this way.

Rodney Howard Browne teaches that guilt breeds fear - fear of discovery and implications, to name a pair. The Demon wants you to keep looking over your shoulder ; that way, you can't keep your eyes on where you are going!

Guilt leads to the wish for punishment. We may start to isolate ourselves or drive folk away as we feel undeserving of their love. This is another devilish trap. Just as in war, an infantryman standing alone is a big fat target for the Enemy.

What's your notion of following Christ? Does not it basically come down to obeying Christ? The followers were blessed to have the company of Christ Himself for three years. They managed to communicate with Him and receive an audible answer. They managed to see Him and touch Him. But we also have the advantage of His presence. The day before He was crucified, Christ guaranteed the followers that he wouldn't leave them in this fallen world. He swore to send them a Helper, the Holy Spirit, to steer them into all truth. The Holy Spirit indeed reveals to us the truth of Christ in any and all circumstances.

He enables us to walk in the way that He finds, and He also corrects our course when we stray. God's way isn't the world's way. The devil controls this evil world system and tries to camouflage circumstances to confuse people.

Guilt causes enormous insecurity. A guilty conscience naturally finishes up in thinking, I'm really not quite sufficient. If I were a better Christian, I would Not surprising nobody likes me. If you are wrestling with the issue of guilt, I pray that you'll leave your remorse where you are standing and attest these three things: I am special. I am loved. I am forgiven. Say them aloud as a prayer of praise to God : Say them frequently, letting the words sink into your consciousness.

Jesus wants you to be an active infantryman for Him. Don't let the Enemy take you out of the battle.
