This is the place to go to find local markets, typical Mexican restaurants, and in general, more of an authentic experience.

Of course, you won't want to forget the ecological reserve. The reserve, called Sian Ka'an, occupies hundreds of square miles and is the largest in Mexico. It is the target of numerous conservation efforts by the government as well as NGOs, who seek to preserve the many species of plant and animal life that dwell there.
