If you are not sure exactly whether or not this relationship is worth keeping and you feel like its too much effort to actually pursue it, the best plan is to just move on. Now, keep in mind that no relationship is a bed of roses. At least, not the ones that are worth it. Life doesn't work like that. However, if you believe that this was not a long-term deal anyway, it is best to just start dealing with a breakup and see what else is out there. Take a bit of time for yourself, but if you were not emotionally invested in the relationship yet, just keep moving. Go out with friends or take on some extra work. A new relationship will show up when you least expect it. Dont go and immediately jump into a new one.
You may want to spend some time when dealing with a breakup to figure out what exactly went wrong with the relationship. Was the whole thing just too weird from the beginning? On the other hand, did you mess up big time and wish you could do things over? Try to figure out what was actually the cause of the breakup. You may just get a second chance and you want to be able to do it right the second time around. Practice really does make perfect.
