If you’re planning a wedding shower, you may be wondering how you’re going to keep the party going. Unless you’re Martha Stewart, entertaining party guests can be a challenge. Throwing a fun shower is definitely possible, though, and it’s much easier if you follow a few simple steps.

1. Know Your Wedding Shower Guests
The key to entertainment success knows what your guests will like. Do you have a fun group of girls who have known each other for years? They’ll probably be up for anything – the crazier the better. But if your guests are more reserved, or don’t know each other as well, the silly games and gag gifts might not go over so well. And, of course, a couple’s shower requires a totally different brand of entertainment to accommodate the men.

No matter who you’re entertaining, Her Bridal Favors has the perfect wedding favor ideas and game prizes. The Whimsical Purse Design Key Chains or Lavender Flip Flop Note Pads are affordable and perfect for a girly bridal shower favor. If it’s elegance you prefer, however, then the Photo Coasters or Egyptian Glass Perfume Bottles may be what you’re looking for.

2. Plan Your Wedding Shower Activities
Once you’ve decided what kind of entertainment your bridal shower guests will enjoy, it’s time to choose specific activities. No matter what you do, though, just be sure that the bride is always the center of attention. If you choose a game, it should be one that makes the bride feel special or makes her laugh.

You might play a trivia game to see how much the guests know about the bride or a drawing game that lets the guests draw their visions of the bride in her wedding gown. There are guessing games, BINGO games, and everything in between. You should be able to find one your guests, and the bride, will love.

3. Plan Your Wedding Shower Menu
After the games, it will be time for the bride to open her bridal gifts. This is the perfect time for guests to enjoy cake, punch, and any other munchies you’re planning to serve. For brunch showers, you can serve breakfast casseroles, sausage rolls, or fruit crepes. Afternoon showers are a great time to serve finger sandwiches, cheese and crackers, and vegetable trays.

Try to serve at least three or four different food items in addition to the cake to ensure that there is something for everyone. If you’re planning for a large group, you might consider having a separate dessert table with the wedding shower cake and a few other delectable delicacies to delight your guests. Hire a caterer to help you plan the menu and prepare the food, or save money by doing it yourself. Making your own food is much more affordable and personal, especially if the other shower hostesses pitch in to help.

4. Create an Atmosphere
The bridal shower decorations help set the stage for your party. If you choose to decorate with bridal accessories, use items with wedding dresses, tuxedos, wedding rings, beautifully packaged bridal favors, and stunning wedding cakes.

Her Bridal Favors is the place to find wedding favors, bridal shower favors, and shower décor items to fit any theme and budget. The Bride and Groom Salt and Pepper Shakers would make the perfect shower favors and table decorations. And the Gratest Love of All Cheese Graters come in adorable bridal boxes that will delight your guests as soon as they walk in the room.

Entertaining wedding shower guests is not so hard if you do a little pre-planning. It is a party, after all, and everyone will be ready to have a good time. All you have to do is provide the place, the food, and a warm smile. The rest will take care of itself.
