When Life Falls Apart

When you hear the word "erosion," what comes to mind? Most likely, you think about how land or rocks waste away over a long lasting period. You see, physical erosion does not happen fast. Rather, it's the result of centuries of pressure and friction. In the same way, our religious lives don't rot all of a sudden, but artfully corrode over the course of months or years.

What causes this deterioration? The answer's sin. Insubordination in the human heart does to an individual's life what the elements do to the skin of the earth. It carries away with it the absolute best of life. Is something in your life wearing you away? Are you in a position to detect a steady weakening that has taken place as the results of worldly pressures? My chum, if such a rot is occurring in your life at the moment, then you must identify those areas and bring the erosion to a close. Left boundless, these sinful behaviors may result in a hollow, ineffectual life. Is that what you need to see as you come to the end of your life? But do not forget, erosion takes time.

You could be fighting with something that has troubled you for 10 or more years. The effects on you have been gentle, but acute. , don't think you have to fix the difficulty overnite. Simply confess that area and turn it over to the Lord. He wants to bring alteration in your life. And that starts the instant you repent of the sin and call on His name.

Don't wait another day to start back on the right course.
