Intuit's QuickBooks Pro has a lot of features you'll find useful. QuickBooks Pro lets you customize your accounting program, to fit the business you do. For example, if your business is product based, you can customize your invoices one way. If you are service-based, you can customize your invoices another way. Whatever your situation, QuickBooks Pro will be able to meet your needs with its accounting software.

QuickBooks Pro Features:

The ability to import data from Excel, Quicken, and Microsoft Office

The ability to accept credit card payments if you wish

Five employees are able to work on QuickBooks Pro simultaneously.

Ease-of-use? Five stars

The program is extremely easy to use and user friendly. You can move around the program easily by using the navigation toolbars. On one of the main toolbars, there's an easy route for the tools you're going to need when you navigate the program. A pop-up menu will show you the order of the way you should use the program and how you should use it. Installation time is fast, and installation itself is simple. You can get the program to run on Windows Vista with no problems, so that setting up your business is very easy and smooth.

Help and Support: Five stars out of five

The help and support section is fantastic. Easy navigation and use of the search tools. You can type in a topic and a list of tips pop up. QuickBooks Pro includes a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section and a help button in the quick help menu.

Accounts Receivable: 5 Stars

You can use the Accounts Receivable tools in QuickBooks Pro's Customer Section. However, one disadvantage of this particular tool is that you cannot use it to create recurring invoices or to estimate shipping costs.

Accounts Payable: 5 Stars

This section of the program is available in "Vendors." You can use inventory tools here, and you can also take care of any other Accounts Payable-related tasks.

Payroll: 5 Stars

You can access Payroll in the employee section, and it includes functions like direct deposit.

Inventory: 4 Stars

Find this section in QuickBooks Pro by looking in one of the upper toolbars under "Item." You can do item and service management for your business here, and you can create drop shipments, costing methods, and inactive items here, too. In inventory, some things are duplicated in the vendors' section, like inventory adjustments and assemblies.

Banking: 5 Stars

The banking feature is superb but voiding existing checks is not possible at the moment.

Time Billing: 4 Stars

This section is in the employee section and gives you the ability to track weekly or daily time. You can also use an included timer with this feature.

Job Costing: Four stars out of five

Job Costing can be found under the Customer section, with functions like track jobs, estimations, and set jobs. You can also specify whether jobs are active or inactive.

General Ledger: Five stars out of five

You can find General Ledger in the Company section. With this function, set budgets, view account charts, manage money, do business planning, and participate in other business-related features.

Fixed Assets: Three out of five stars

The biggest disadvantage of this program. Fixed Assets section is not included in QuickBooks Pro. You can only access a list of company assets.

Conclusion

In general, QuickBooks Pro is excellent software to help you run your business seamlessly, even if you don't have a head for accounting. Even though it's not perfect, it does offer a lot of advantages that will help you satisfy any accounting needs of your business.
