By saving, a person gives themselves a cushion to have some extra money in case that they have something that they need to spend some extra money on. By having the extra money, they do not need to go into debt for any reason at all. Keeping a close eye on the amount of money that you spend and how much a person saves can make a major difference as it related to debt management. In addition, checking your bank accounts and also your credit report can also help people protect themselves from having debt issues because they don't have to deal with a purchase that they did not make in the first place.
