A man took his wife to the doctor because she was complaining of headaches and a runny nose. To get her temperature, the doctor immediately placed a thermometer in her mouth and told her to keep her mouth closed for three minutes. After the consultation, the couple was about to leave, when the husband pulled the doctor aside and whispered, “What will it cost for me to get one of those themometers Doc? Just for a few minutes of peace once and a while?” People may laugh at the situation and, sometimes, going to the doctor can be a pleasant experience after all.

Unfortunately for some, it isn’t and can even bring more stress to the hapless, unwell person. More so if people go to the doctor for medical emergencies, like those caused by accidents or sudden illnesses. When this happens, sometimes there is not enough money saved for medicines and hospital bills. Fortunately, there are many financial establishments that can help people who need money quickly for emergencies, such as payday advances. Most of these financial firms have websites where people could easily access loan applications, or at least get some advice on budgeting and saving.

However, financial and medical emergencies could leave most people stressed and even traumatized. It is best to avoid such agonizing scenarios. To do so, one must be cautious and always prepared, particularly with matters regarding health. For example, most cases dealt with in clinics are just the minor flu or cough. But there can be many unexpected procedures or emergencies which may pop up.

In recent news, the Swine flu strain has caused a pandemic and thousands around the world has been infected. However, the “common flu” is not that lethal, but is still caused by influenza viruses A and B. The common flu usually brings along these symptoms: fever, a headache, a dry cough, a sore or dry throat, and body aches. People who have the flu would probably complain of feeling tired and less hungry than usual. The first three to four days would be the worse, but after this period, the patients would feel better. However it usually takes a week or two to recover from the flu completely.

There are home remedies to be done to fight the common flu. The first is to take extra bed rest. This would also avoid the flu patient to spread the virus to others. Another good remedy is to drink plenty of fluids, like water or hot tea, to erase the sore throat and keep the nasal mucus thin. For the fever, a sponge bath using lukewarm water is highly recommended. This will make the body comfortable and reduce the temperature. If flu patients are experiencing headaches or body aches, they could take ibuprofen or panadol to relieve the pain. However, it is advisable to go to the doctor if your symptoms improved but then seem to get worse again after seven to ten days.

When this happens and all the sick leaves have been used and there is cash needed to buy medicines, best to take a look at an instant payday loan online. These applications are processed faster and money is readily channeled to a bank account for easy access. That way, the needed cash is immediately used for medical expenses.
