Hydrogen gas is produced from the electricity in your car. This gas is injected into your intake system, it is then combined with the gas from your gas tank to help your car be more fuel efficient. That means you buy less gas. Two of the great benefits of this is that you increase your cars power, also it reduces exhaust emissions. Getting a fatter wallet is a pretty good bonus as well.
As you can see, it takes electricity to produce hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas (fuel cells) is an assist to your gas system, you still have to have gas to produce power. But you will use a lot less gas by installing an alternative fuel cell system.
