Playing tennis is one of my favorite pastimes. It happens to be a very good hobby. Playing tennis is a great way to stay physically fit, and it's also a great way to make new friends. Playing tennis is an excellent cardiovascular workout that doesn't leave you out of breath. Playing tennis is a lot more fun than doing some of your traditional exercises like going to the gym and working out on machines or with weights. I recommend you give it a try.
Playing
Playing tennis is RECOMMENDED if you want to:produce physical & psychological benefits reduce risk of developing cardiovascular event, such as heart disease (number one killing disease among men and women)or stroke, help improve balance, mobility, and overall fitness, reduce stress, help burn calories. A 135 pound woman playing an hour of tennis can burn 330 calories during doubles and 420 calories during singles. An average-sized man playing tennis can burn 425 calories during doubles and 600 calories during singles. Playing tennis on a regular basis not only improves your game, but your balance, coordination, strength, stamina and flexibility, too. Playing has also helped me to relax both on and off the court. At any age, playing tennis is a challenging, fun and social way to get up, get out and get active.
Having a positive attitude when playing tennis is a requirement, not an option. Whether you’re an amateur or professional, playing tennis is about health, enthusiasm and doing your personal best. But if you don't care about the outcome and just enjoy playing tennis regardless who wins then in that case playing tennis is a NON zero-sum game. Playing tennis is a lot of FUN and great exercise.
