Searching for an easy diet to lose weight leads one to ask why diets fail. The most common complaints that lead people to abandon their diets are "it doesn't taste good", "it didn't fill me" and or "it was too complicated."

But Ma, it doesn't taste good!

We eat for three basic reasons. One reason is because we love the taste of food. Diets that restrict you from your favorite foods inevitably fail. But what if there was a diet that included your favorite food? Take cookies for an example. Everyone loves cookies. What if you could eat cookies and lose weight? We could call it the ?cookie diet!?

See folks who have a weight challenge love to eat. They love to eat morning, noon and night and they love snacks.? They especially enjoy sweet foods. So why not let them have?a delicious cookie before a meal. ? No reason to feel guilty eating a cookie when you are on a Cookie Diet! It's so easy.

The Cookie Diet would be loved by all. People would gladly stay on their new diet. No need to twist anyone's arm. The cookie monster would become their best friend. Of course, the cookie would have to meet three important requirements. It would have to taste good. It would have to be healthy, nutritionally-balanced and provide energy. Lastly?folks would have to get results. What would it take to make a cookie like this?

This cookie should not have any stimulants or caffeine, no artificial sweeteners, colors or preservatives. No, none of that. Instead the cookie should be filled with life- giving nutrients such as protein, fiber and tasty natural sweetness.

Protein is important to replenish the building blocks of muscle tissue. Protein from soy and whey are especially satisfying because of specific signals it sends to the brain. Soy proteins, in particular, impact the "fat storage" and lean muscle mass. When we snack on proteins, instead of sugars and fats, the body feels more full which helps people control their appetite between meals. This cuts calories and reduces weight. Also, your body uses more energy to digest protein. Meaning, when you snack on a protein, instead of a carbohydrate or fat, you are burning more calories during the process of digestion, thus helping your weight loss efforts.

But Ma, It doesn't fill me!

Studies?tell us that fiber makes you feel full and this controls your tendency to overeat.?? The importance of fiber is now being recognized, appreciated and taught worldwide. Studies are establishing a relationship between the relative long lives and good health of populations who consume high fiber foods. People who diet commonly have challenges with constipation because they eat less food. ?It makes sense to ensure high fiber. The truth is the higher the percentage of fiber in your diet,?the lower the tape-measure reading around your waist.

It was too complicated.

Having to count calories and weigh every morsel you look at depresses people. Make sure the diet you choose is easy and convenient. What could be easier than eating a cookie a half an hour before your meal?
