So you're looking for a family holidays that are affordable and fun for the kids, whilst also being relaxing for the adults. Many people think that by going to a travel agent and/or going online and looking up the all inclusive or package deal holiday, that you will get everything necessary to have a good time, for all the family. This on the outset can seem very true, you will get flights and a hotel with all inclusive food to feed you for however long you stay there, but will you get an experience? Most of these family holidays can become very restricted offering you know variety of experience of the destinations culture, food, traditions or even the sites that may be further afield then many of the tourist destinations. It is true that many cities abroad or favourite holiday spots don't even feel like a different place because they are so full of the English tourists that they cater to an English theme.

So if you are willing to think past a holiday that is seemingly easier then anything else and think self catering and a guaranteed experience why not try camping! Camping or caravanning in and around Europe can be just as comforting as a hotel, offering you a decent and effectively more adventurous place to sleep whilst evidently giving you the cultural experience of the destination. You can find many holiday parks that offer sites for pitching up a tent, allowing you to have the freedom to experience in your own way, what you want to eat and take part in. Whilst you can have the relaxation of the beautiful beaches and famous sites you can also experience the beautiful nature of the woodlands, mountains, rivers and general countryside that are ethnically true to which ever destination you may choose.

The self-catering aspect need not to be considered an issue either as whilst you can explore the various restaurants and cafe's etc you can also visit markets and stores that will supply you with traditional foods ready for you to prepare and experience whatever meal you may want to.
