First, the best or most compelling feature for all Horizon machines is the motor that is used. It is a higher grade motor than over 90 percent of treadmills designed for at home use employ. The warranty most Horizon models offer on it is good, above industry standard. These motors run quietly and are very durable.
Horizons are also known for their excellent suspension systems. This company hangs it hat on comfort and safety. They design their treadmills to be very low impact. Also, you can workout with less pain and less stress on the joints.
Horizon T73 - This treadmill retails for around a thousand dollars and is worth every penny. Specifically designed for speed walkers, this unit will hold up for years.
Horizon T93 - It's a little more expensive than the 73 but it has a couple of features that the cheaper model doesn't, including MP3 compatibility.
Horizon T81 - This is my favorite Horizon treadmill because of its low price, (around $600), and its great performance. The motor runs very quiet, the track is smooth and durable, and the suspension system makes running on it a joy. It is fairly low on features and extras but for a basic model, it works great.
Overall, Horizons are best sellers for a reason. They listen and respond to customer reports with improvements and upgrades. They are low priced economy machines, but they outperform some higher priced units which make them a very good overall value.
