The Portes du Soleil is the largest interlinked ski area in the World with over 650km of pistes. With such a huge ski domain the choice of lunch venue can be tough, but luckily we've spent many years checking them all out and we have listed some of our favorites below.

La Cremaillere, Les Linderets (Goats Village)
Ski a long morning and then settle into this fantastic restaurant in the quaint little hamlet below the Linderets bowl. The menu is extensive with a great range of local meats and game, plus seasonal accompaniments including magnificent chanterelles.

Chez Denis, Plaine Dranse, Châtel
Conveniently located at the top of the Pierre Longue chair, all skiing abilities (and non-skiers) can meet in this rustic old farm building for a hearty lunch. The menu is small and simple but everything is delicious " with local specialities such as Berthoud, amazing ‘Beignets' potato cakes, served with local cured ham and salad, and a huge bowl of warming soup with a great big slab of Abondance cheese.

Le Toupin, Les Crosets (Switzerland)
Situated below the famous Swiss Wall, and with magnificent views of the Dents Blanche range, this is a great lunch spot with varied menu and consistently efficient service. Grab a quick bowl of delicious homemade pasta or relax on the sunny terrace for a 3 course menu, whatever you choose it's a magical place to rest your ski legs.

Le Corbeau, Morgins (Switzerland)
Head over the top of Super Chatel and down into Switzerland to experience this hidden little restaurant above Morgins, with stunning views of the Dents du Midi. Once inside you might decide to stay a while to enjoy the delicious specialities of the Swiss Valais region including fantastic croutes and Vin Chaud boot mugs!

At Nine & Tenne we know how important a great lunch is to a day on the slopes, weather its a fondue in front of an open log fire or a delicious salad and glass of rose on a sunny balcony. We offer a concierge service to all of our guests and will happily recommend and book the best restaurants depending on your ski plan, weather and preferences.
