Compete April 2009

Friday, May 8th, 2009

Compete April 2009Compete the popular web traffic comparision site has updated with April 2009 data, we are pleased to see that our traffic continues to growth, albeit at a slower pace than in recent months.

Compete is useful in that it shows your performance relative to your competitors, as with all 3rd party tools though it uses a sample of data from its sources and extrapolates results.

All the same its encouraging that the trend continues on an upward direction, it certainly compares well with the data we get from Google Analytics, which is our own site based tool which has access to the real site traffic.

Our competitiors appear to be experiencing similar growth rates, some we are ahead of others we are still lagging.  Rest assured we continue to market Article Alley night and day to get the best traffic and exposure for our authors and their work.

We are committed to getting Article Alley back to the very top performing site in the Article Marketing niche.

Sitelogr is a free service that provides a vast quantity of valuable information to webmasters about every website on the internet. This data is gathered from various sources in real-time. Of course it will never be perfectly accurate, but at least you get a general idea.

Domain Meter

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Came across a nice little aggregator service today, that I previously had overlooked, check out Article Alley on Domain Meter It has a clean look and feel and has a unique car dashboard style.

I like sites that try to be different from the rank and file.

I am not sure if sites like this bring much if any visitors but they seem to be everywhere at the moment.

Alexa April progress continues

Alexa April

Article Alley continues to do well on Alexa, I like the changes that Alexa has made recently, their new interface is clean and fresh, and they seem to have learnt how to better monetize.

Our progress is pleasing and we are really starting to gain on our competitors, three years ago, we led the field, but now we are having to work hard just to catch back up.

Our new features such as video and tags are really helping, and there are more new features due for launch soon.

Increased traffic for Article Alley means more visitors for our authors and more exposure for their work, so this is great news all around.

Another new feature on Alexa is greater information on links - this is helpful as we can now spot more of what our competitors are doing and work to improve on this ourselves.

Your dedicated Article Alley team of editors and search marketeers is plugging away for you and we are determined to get back to the top.

Article Alley on quarkbase.com

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Quarkbase.com is a good site summary provider, our listing can be found here like several of these sorts of sites it draws information from a range of places but pulls them together in a logical and professional report format.

I like the layout and format of this site - its nice to use and overall pretty slick.

New sponsored advertising

Friday, April 17th, 2009

We just implemented 6 new ad panels on the right hand side of this blog, as traffic grows we are hoping to run paid ads in theses spaces, but for now we are happy to use a couple of affliates and adverts for our own network of sites.

A little more work is need to polish off this area, but you can already see the results.
