You'll probably have to file quarterly self-employment taxes, both state (if your state has income tax) and federal.<br /> <br /> Self-employment can be a real challenge, but it can also be hugely rewarding if things go your way. Maybe you want to work from home to fit in better with family commitments. What's the competition like? Work out the proportion of business use and then apply that to every expense of running the car - insurance, breakdown, servicing and petrol.
