HTML Sangria Recipe Sangria Recipe Author: Chris JohnsonINGREDIENTS: 1 Bottle of red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Zinfandel, Shiraz) 1 Lemon cut into wedges 1 Orange cut into wedges 1 Apple cut into wedges 2 Tbsp sugar 1 Shot Brandy, Bacardi & Cointreau 2 Cups ginger ale or club soda or lemonade PREPARATION: Half fill a litre jug with ice, squeeze half of the lemons and oranges (leaving out seeds if possible) and then add the wedges of apple, oranges & lemon and add sugar and brandy, barcardi & cointreau. Add red wine and ginger ale or club soda or lemonade, depending on your taste. Give a good stir, leave for a few minutes and serve. A lot of recipes say to chill overnight but I would recommend you drink it staright away!! Addition ideas: sliced strawberries, peaches, handful of fresh blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, a shot or two of gin, brandy or rum, a cup of ginger ale, citrus soda pop or lime juice.
