While that doesn't mean that you should be exactly like your mate, you do need to work together to make your goals happen.Unless a spouse is very uninterested in becoming debt-free, I make it mandatory that we meet with the husband and the wife for coaching. If you are that far apart on something as important as money, it becomes a wedge that can divide your marriage. I seek to strengthen marriages, not pull them apart.The benefit of being married and working together is that you can use each other for accountability. If you're single, you need to find a good friend or relative that can hold you accountable.In the beginning of any of our programs, I'm laying down the accountability and challenging clients to do what is in their best interest.
