Author: Johan RoodePoaching beef in your dishwasher is a surefire way to shock your dinner guests, prepare a healthy meal, and do the dishes - all at the same time! Here's how to use your dishwasher to poach your beef tongue: Ingredients: One Standard Dishwasher (any make should do just fine) One Roast Bag (Big enough for the beef tongue) One Beef Tongue Chicken Stock Three Carrots One Onion Three Celery Stalks One Bay Leaf Nine Peppercorns Salt & Pepper to taste Method: Season the beef tongue with salt and pepper and let it stand in the refrigerator overnight. Combine all other ingredients. Put tongue and other ingredients into the roast bag. Don't forget to add the chicken stock too. Set dishwasher for 1 washing cycle. You can try this with beef tenderloin as well! Poaching may be an unusual method for preparing your beef tenderloin, but you will be surprised by the results (especially if done in your dishwasher!) WARNING: DO NOT over-cook the beef. It will become tough. Please visit http://www.ground-beef-recipes.com for more free recipes and download some (or all) of the free cookbooks! Happy Cooking! Chef Johan PS: This is not my own recipe. It is from Chef Eddie at Absinthe, a restaurant near Symphony Hall. It can be served hot or cold. He also likes to serve it topped with Salsa Verde. I have modified it to be poached in your dishwasher.
