Filters also help us to create mood in our images and bring out the best in a scene. A small selection of filters is well worth packing when heading off for a trip. They don't take up too much space and will definitely add a bit of spice to your images.

Have you evermetsomeone who has thousands of dollarsworth of gear, can talk all day about cameras and lenses.but stilltakeslousyphotos? Suchpeople LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY fail to understand that good photographers are not judged by the equipment they use, but by their results. Of coursetechnicalknowledge is important, but it will only take you so far.

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

You see if you took a handful of photos photographed at 17mm or less, and stitched them as one, you may certainly see an uncomfortable bulge. This is what happens when ultra wide shots are stitched to make an individual panorama. Unless you are trying to generate a fisheye effect it will not work suitably. When shooting with 24mm this awful effect does not happen. We are left with a wide angle good enough for a single photo and just right to create a series of pictures for a panorama.

Direction: this refers to light placement. There are three categories of light placement: front, back and side-lighting. Side lighting produces more texture between light and shade.

Rainforest photography is another departure from general LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY. Under the rainforest canopy, the sunlight can become such a patchwork of light and shade that a perfect exposure is impossible. For the best results in the rainforest, I usually look for overcast conditions, with perhaps a little mist for added atmosphere. Under these cloudy skies, the best times are usually in the middle part of the day, when the light is fairly bright. This helps you avoid a too-dark image.

Be creative and experiment with the speed of your camera's shutter. Although the quickest shutter speeds are used to freeze a moment in time, consider what is possible with slower shutter speeds, such as 1/30. For example, what if there is a cyclistgoing by? This will make it so that the cyclist himself is pretty sharp, but the background LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY is blurred, which gives a visual clue that he is moving.

If you intend to take a hassle free, quality panoramas it is best to shoot in portrait orientation. One of the most noteworthy reasons being it is easier to stitch as well as help for a good composition. Now the question is do you need an expensive wide angle lens to shoot panoramas? It is absolutely a NO. Although wide angles are great but they cause distortion and stretch the edge. They are also prone to heavier vignetting (darkness that comes in from all the corners). So what would be ideal? It is simply anything in the mid zoom range. For the full frame shooters, the ideal range should be between 35 to 80 mm.You can also use prime lenses for sharpness.
