How Listening to The Secret Audiobook Transformed My Entire Life

Do you listen to self improvement audio books? I have heard a lot of people say that by simply listening to positive books on the go, it can change the way you think, feel, and act.

I decided to test this for myself by listening to The Secret audiobook by Rhonda Byrne for three weeks straight. Here are my results...

A lot of people in business these days use this form of personal development to stay in the right path for financial and personal success. Listening to audiobooks such as The Secret audiobook by Rhonda Byrne, is a daily practice for most of them.

They use the positivity and techniques that comes from these kind of resources for financial success in their businesses.

This doesn't mean that they are the only ones who can benefit from what is offered in these audiobooks. Self improvement books and audiobooks are used by parents, teachers, coaches, therapists, and more. There are even resources available for teenagers as well.

I wanted to put this to the test so I began an experiment... I decided I would listen to The Secret audiobook on my way to work every morning and on my way back.

It takes me about half an hour to get to work. So on a daily basis, I was getting an hour of listening for five days a week.

If you have never listened to The Secret audiobook, this piece of literature goes into depth on the law of attraction. The law of attraction is a technique that has been used for thousands of years.

People believe that through this technique, you are able to attract the things you want into your life. Weather that is financial success, a happier marriage, fame, etc.

I was mostly looking for changes in my emotions, attitudes, feelings, and thoughts. Since this book offers techniques on how to attract the things you want, my choice of attraction was to lose weight. I hit a plateau with this goal of mine so I thought that would be a perfect choice to test the law of attraction with.

After one week of listening to The Secret audiobook



So week one started. On my drive to work and back home, I listed to the The Secret Audio book through my car's radio. After the first few days, I started noticing very small positive changes in my attitude.

I distinctly remember being a little bit excited to go to work. Let's be honest, most people are not excited to go to work. I love my job but I would rather stay home. I noticed that instead of being negative towards having to go to work, it wasn't something that annoyed me anymore. I was okay with going to work and not complain.

As far as my fitness goal, I was only a week in so I obviously did not see any noticeable results. Just so you are aware, to lose weight, I set this goal of only eating vegetables, fruits, and protein throughout the day.

All week long. The weekends were the only time were I allowed myself to have a couple of treats. This was a hard habit to conform to. Even after the first week, I was still having a hard time keeping my goal of eating healthier.

Week two of listening to The Secret audiobook daily



I continued to have this positive attitude about my job. I found myself getting along better with coworkers that I didn't exactly like very much. Also, I am kind of shy so I don't know very many people outside my department.

Out of no where, I started to have somewhat of a conversation with some other workers in the break room during my breaks. I slowly started coming out of my shell and actually conversing with people. I'm not sure why I was doing that, I just didn't really think about it.

During the second week, I became more serious about my fitness goal. Again, it came out of nowhere. I had this drive to want to eat healthier foods. It's like my body was craving fruits and vegetables, not normal for me at all!

I went to the store and bought frozen vegetables, frozen fruits, and chicken to take to work every day to last me a week. I also bought a protein bar for every day of the week, and nuts to snack on.

To summarize my second week of listening to the secret audiobook, I had this inner drive of becoming a better person and seeking success instead of mediocrity.

By this point, I did a 180 degree turn! I came to realize that I was wasting my life away and not going anywhere. It actually scared me a little bit. My thought patterns were more positive, I wanted to go up the corporate ladder in my company.

It was no longer a job, it wanted it to be a career. In fact, I met up with my manager and spoke about my want of increasing somehow with the company.

After that meeting was over, he had promised me a raise and an opportunity to move up positions in the following months. I was more social with people than before.

I began to talk with more people outside my department and became pretty good friends with a few of them.

I had this strong desire of joining a gym and sticking to a hardcore workout and meal plan! Never in a million years did I think I would become that person. I used to be too lazy to even drive to a gym.

Conclusion

Obviously, there were many significant changes in my life after listening to the secret audiobook after three weeks. Now, I have started to listen to other books as well!

If you are looking to become happier, reach your personal goals, and feel better about yourself... you need to start listening books like The Secret Audiobook! The benefits are outstanding and certainly worked for me. You just need to consistently feed yourself self improvement resources.
