Now you've got your business, but perhaps you're wondering what to do next? How to you get people to buy your products?
Let's take a brief look at your website. Is it professional and yet easy to navigate? Does it contain the necessary information for a prospective client to make a decision and perhaps buy your services? Is there a secure shopping cart for clients to order through on your website?
If you answered 'yes' to these questions, I think you're ready to go!
Market Your Business Online
1. Article Marketing--If you look around on the internet, sources disagree as to whether or not this is an effective means of promoting your business. Why? It all depends on your method.
Writing the Article
A. The quality of your articles should be professional, not written by someone barely able to speak English. The articles should also be keyword targeted and have a density of 2-4%.
B. What is a keyword targeted article? Suppose the keyword you are trying to get indexed for is "buy ABC"; you would want that phrase to be included at least 2-4 times per 100 words in your article. At the same time, you don't want to keyword stuff as that doesn't provide a high quality article.
Submitting to Directories for Distribution
A. When you submit your article, you'll include keywords, the article itself, a short summary, categories and the author bio. Your author bio is extremely important. If your article is centered around the keyword "buy ABC", you'll want to include that once or twice in the article bio and use it as the anchor text for your link. Your website link should preferably also have this keyword in the URL, but it doesn't have to. But do make sure the url is relevant to the keyword/article.
B. How does article marketing work? After you submit the article to the directory, people post your article on their website along with the author bio. This provides links back to your website and some traffic as well.
C. What directories should you submit to? Directories that have lots of articles getting published!! There are free sites like Article Dashboard and Ezine Articles, but they don't get as many articles published and thus aren't as effective. Your best bets are probably Article Marketer or Article Pool.
2. Blog Commenting--This also provides links back to your website. When you post a comment, do so on pr2 (page rank 2) or higher pages - make your comment at least three lines/sentences. Add to the discussion, don't just comment anything in the world. If you can link in the comment, do a link and for the anchor text use your keyword again. For your name, use your keyword or better yet business name and use your home page of the website. Never leave more than two comments per blog website.
3. Forum Commenting--This is similar to blog commenting, but you usually must set up accounts on each forum before commenting. Because of this, it's very time consuming and I would suggest hiring someone overseas to do this for you. You can join Odesk, Elance or RentaCoder and post your project on there for about $1 per 2 comments. Again, never post more than two comments on each forum. When you are forum commenting, you'll want your keywords/anchor text links in your signature. You can have 2-3 links and anchor texts in your signature.
4. Social Media Marketing--Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have endless opportunities for marketing. You can create a Facebook page for your business and promote videos of yours or others from YouTube. Twitter allows you to communicate with customers and prospective clients instantly. This also allows the general public to follow you and you can post updates, information, etc about your business and products.Start and Market your Business Online Today!
